Full Time Nights 7am to 7pm 36 hours a week. Three 12 hour shifts.
Currently in search of a Medical Surgical RN to help meet the needs of our patients.
THR Denton 3rd floor is a 55 bed multidisciplinary unit for medical patients aged 18+. We have hospitalists who will direct the care along with specialty consults as needed. This 3 wing unit has a complimentary staff which includes Certified Nurse Leaders, Care Transition Managers, clinical supervisors as well as a free float charge nurse. This team is very engaged in providing high quality patient/family care as well as team focused work ethic.
Staff has high energy and compassion for everyone. This multidisciplinary team of caregivers has exceptional patient outcomes and continues to strive to promote the best patient experience overall. Length of stay is 3 to 5 days. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights. Have 3 to 5 patient care technicians on the unit on both day and night shifts.
Has 1 department secretary for the unit. Looking for 1-3 years of experience for RN openings. Will consider candidates with LTAC experience. Prefer not to have candidates with only Rehab, nursing home experience only. Need to have at least 1 year acute care setting experience. Outgoing positive attitude and true team player. Charge nurse does not take on any patients.
|| BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of a NLN (National League of Nursing) or CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) accredited nursing programs. BSN preferred.
RNs hired after January, 2014, require completion of BSN within 3 years of start date. RNs hired within THR after December, 2016, require completion of BSN within 2 years of start date.
One year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program, or acceptance into a THR residency program.
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
Current AHA BLS training.
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of computer documentation; good keyboard skills; working knowledge of the care and management of the patient in the setting
2+ years experience as an RN in acute care setting preferred.
Must be highly motivated and committed to a quality of care that emphasizes the patient first.
Qualified candidate will have excellent customer service and teamwork skills as well as clinical competence.
