Job description
Job description: Seeking a Self-Motivated Applications Engineer. Apply today!

Our client is a highly respected, international software company specializing in the computerization of statistical procedures. Their software is used for data collection, statistical analysis, and quality control within the North American automotive industry and a variety of other international industries. Known as a “rock star” amongst its audiences, the firm actively partners with customers in helping them embrace the software integration process, and create reports, along with more exacting and understandable measurement processes. Unsurprisingly, our client is “on the grow,” both horizontally—with forays into the heavy equipment and agricultural sectors, and vertically—with exciting new product offerings for existing customers. Hence, the following position has been created to support these new avenues.

Applications Engineer
Rochester Hills, Michigan
As Applications Engineer, you will champion the delivery and support of our client’s software products. Software applications range from data collection from various types of gauges in measurement devices, to gauge qualification and R&R, to engineering requirements management (ballooning), to control plan/inspection plan management.
To qualify, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) and possess three years, minimum, (five or more is preferred) of manufacturing experience in an automotive environment, statistics, IT capabilities, gage (gauge) engineering, etc. In addition to excellent verbal and written communication skills, you’ll need organizational abilities for project management purposes, a good understanding of gauging and machine manufacturing and statistical principles, plus expertise in Windows networking and database applications. Six Sigma, Microsoft or Quality Engineer Certification would be highly advantageous, but is not required. Finally, since you’ll be sharing in our client’s expansive success, you must be desirous of growth in your career.
Working with our client, you’ll be rewarded with a competitive salary, and full employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid vacations, and more. But most of all, you’ll thrive in an environment that is not hectic and fast paced, and affords people the freedom to work with minimal supervision and define their own career paths as they grow.
