Identify, recruit and staff alumni, with a special focus on young alumni, for key positions within the Alumni Association
Develop meaningful interaction between students and alumni, including alumni programs for current students
Support and staff selected committees of the Alumni Board and Council
Staff and support selected class reunion committees and chapter events
Assist in writing and developing selected marketing materials for alumni relations programs
Work with alumni and the Office of Admission to personalize student recruitment for powerful results
In partnership with alumni volunteers and college staff, develop new and creative ways to leverage online communities for greater alumni communication and support. Leverage WCAlumnet and Facebook communities to increase alumni event attendance, volunteerism, and by extension, gift support
Edit and manage Class Notes for the Washington College Magazine in partnership with the Magazine editor and other staff
At all times demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to private liberal arts education, reflecting the importance of positive alumni involvement for the benefit of Washington College.
Req. candidate profile :
Bachelor's degree required. Superior written, interpersonal and oral communication skills. Proven organizational skills, adept in relating to different ages and temperaments. Ability to handle multiple tasks with good humor. Self-starter with the ability to work smoothly and effectively as part of a team. Experience with on-line applications and familiarity with nonprofit organizations preferred. High energy level, self-motivated and self-directed to design and complete complex projects.
